WOMAN’S HOUR
Affirming themselves as one of the finest up-and-coming purveyors of modernist pop, Woman’s Hour have seen due reverence throughout the likes of Pitchfork, The Fader, Huw Stephens and Rob da Bank – who the band performed live in session for on BBC Radio 1 – amongst many others.
Fortifying vocalist Fiona Burgess’ insatiable northern paeans with a glistening pulse of drum machines and bass / guitar flirting, theirs is a sound that gets richer in soul with every listen. Having recently connected with respected label Secretly Canadian (Antony And The Johnsons, Yeasayer, Major Lazer, The War on Drugs), and following a show supporting Volcano Choir at The Barbican, the band are currently in the studio making their debut for release next year.
