Our Vacancies

DHP Family operates several well known live venues - including Rock City - and bars in Nottingham. These are heavily used properties that operate year-round and require consistently high standards of maintenance, safety and compliance.

This is a hands-on, site-based role combining practical maintenance work with team leadership and contractor management. You will oversee a small in-house maintenance team while coordinating a panel of subcontractors, ensuring all properties are safe, compliant, well maintained and operationally ready at all times.

A significant proportion of the role is focused on day-to-day reactive and pre planned venue requirements and maintenance, which must be effectively prioritised and to ensure uninterrupted operations

This role will suit a well-organised self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, reactive environment with competing priorities.

Essential Experience & Skills

Proven background in building maintenance with strong hands-on trade skills (e.g. joinery, plumbing, general building works)
Good working knowledge of electrical systems and HVAC
Demonstrable experience leading small teams and managing subcontractors
Strong understanding of health & safety, fire safety and compliance within licensed or public buildings
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to balance planned and reactive maintenance effectively
Full, clean UK driving licence

Desirable

Relevant qualifications such as CSCS, IOSH Managing Safely, SMSTS, First Aid or NVQ in a building trade
Experience within hospitality, live venues or multi-site environments
Familiarity with asset management or maintenance tracking systems

PIZZA CHEF

£16/£18 per hour

Location: The Bodega, Nottingham

 

Your Role:

We are looking for someone to work independently in our outside food kiosk preparing full and by the slice pizzas to an excellent standard. You will have a lot of creative freedom with the menu with a small input from the management team here at Bodega. Strive for excellence and consistency in every dish we sell, which is where you come in. We are a team, we have a great time, and we always deliver an excellent service.

 

Key Responsibilities (during and after appropriate training and not exhaustive)

  • Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy
  • Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales.
  • Liaise with Venue Management to prep food quantities according to expected service demands.
  • Prepare sauces, meats and garnishes in accordance to the recipe specification.
  • Prepare orders in accordance with specifications.
  • Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns.
  • Cook food in a timely manner in accordance with the restaurant specification.
  • Presents food in accordance with specifications.
  • Operate various kitchen appliance such as a blender, pizza oven, grill, or stand mixer.
  • Work as team leader of extra staff during busy periods.
  • Conduct staff training to venue specification.
  • Assist other cooks during the food assembly process
  • Be involved in every aspect of the kitchen
  • Monitor food stock and prepare order and prep lists to be delivered to the Venue Manager and other members of the kitchen team
  • Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
  • Complete Food Safety Documentation; such as fridge temperature logs, food temperature logs, cleaning records
  • Clean kitchen and cooking equipment in accordance to the kitchen cleaning schedule
  • Follow cleaning schedule accurately and attentively using correct chemicals and processes
  • Responsible for daily kitchen operations and ensuring standards are met from prep, cooking, presentation and compliance
  • Responsible for coaching and training other kitchen members when on shift
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance paperwork is accurately completed
  • Liaising directly with the General Manager and reporting on issues or concerns within the kitchen
  • Anything else that is reasonably requested by the General Manager

 

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment
  • Previous experience using commercial cooking equipment
  • Food Safety Level 1
  • Food Safety Level 2
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
