5-piece Lux Lisbon craft sweeping, cinematic indie anthems with interwoven harmonies and tag-team vocals.

Lux Lisbon met in Nottingham as an accountant, a barrister, and a banker before recording their debut album 'Your Heart Is A Weapon The Size Of Your Fist’ and subsequently moving to London. The now-5-piece craft sweeping, cinematic indie anthems with the interwoven harmonies and tag-team vocals of Stuart Rook and Charlotte Austen, taking bits and pieces from the Killers, the Maccabees, Dog is Dead and Bloc Party. They have picked up support from the BBC’s Tom Robinson, Maconie & Radcliffe, and Bethan Elfyn, John Kennedy at XFM, as well as The Fly and Word Magazine, and are able to take the leap to the live stage with high-energy performance, projections, and flickering television sets you would expect from a pop-rock spectacle.

Live highlights include Bestival 2012, BT London Live at Hyde Park during the London 2012 Olympics, plus Camden Crawl and Dot To Dot festivals in 2011. Their single ‘Bullingdon Club’ has received a nod of approval from Billy Bragg, and was dubbed "the best power-pop song in the last 5 years" by Sid Griffin, resident musicologist on the Maconie & Radcliffe show on BBC 6 Music.

Latest singles ‘Get Some Scars’ and ‘Your Heart Is A Weapon The Size Of Your Fist’ have been pulled from recording sessions for the next album, due in early 2013 along with a new string of live dates.

"A musical nod to Bruce Springsteen from our old friends Lux Lisbon, who are damn fine and quickly becoming favourites here"  • Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music

“Lux Lisbon write epic widescreen indie-rock songs”  •  The Fly
