Upon signing to Prosthetic Records, Vile Creature released Preservation Rituals (2015-2018). The collection goes someway to chart the – so far – short, but definitely spellbinding progression of this Ontario-based duo. Dripping with vitriol, abrasively confrontational, and vitally, loud; Vile Creature is the epitome of heavy metal. Eschewing the tropes of the genre’s predecessors Vile Creature are subversive in their socio-political commentary – and throw in a dash of science fiction for good measure.
A new album is on the horizon for 2020 – and with it comes the promise of more genre-bending, boundary destroying sonic alchemy. As well as preparing for the impending album, Vile Creature are collaborating with Bismuth for a specially commissioned performance at Roadburn
2020. This will mark their second time at the prestigious festival, which sits alongside a set at the inaugural Black Flags Over Brooklyn event, and a unique performance at The Gardiner Museum in Toronto as jewels in the crown of their incredible live shows.
