Following the 2025 release of their EP ‘Fire! To The River’, Otala will reveal the culmination of a year’s development and transition on the 22nd April 2026 – “Better Than The End”.
A band often defined by their rejection of genre limitations, Better Than The End acts as a fresh and unique branch on the ever expanding tree of Otala’s musicality, tumbling from syrupy harmonies into deep, swelling post-rock crescendos with grace. From the immediacy of the opening track, A Chase,
to the sprawling odyssey of the two part Lord Only Knows, Better Than The End refuses to pull a punch.
Otala consists of Oscar Thorpe (Guitar, Vocals), Rory Allen (Bass Guitar), Charlotte Foulkes (Saxophone), and Jacob Wing (Drums). Better Than The End was recorded with Louis Milburn (Folly Group, Do Nothing, Divorce) at Premises Studios, London in January 2026.
Otala will embark on an EP release tour exactly one week after the release.
