Lucy’s journey began, when she hopped on a train to London leaving behind the house in which she grew up in rural Warwickshire and struck out for the big city and the big time. Armed with an acoustic guitar and an unstoppable dedication, Lucy played every open-mic imaginable, she met people on the way who are still with her now and with their support and her graft she learned the ropes. As her songs and sentiments spread their warmth through the iciest of hearts, Lucy became that most modern of phenomenon; she went ‘viral’. Her biggest video has clocked up over 600,000 views and on average her sessions and videos are receiving 250,000 views each.

Lucy often lends her vocal talents to Bombay Bicycle Clubs live shows and features on the bands previous 2 albums Flaws and A Different Kind Of Fix.

Her Band consist of guitarist Björn Ågren, drummer Sam Nadel, bassist Joe Steer from Broadcast 2000 and multi-instrumentalist Alex Eichenberger .

She has three singles out; Middle of the Bed, Scar and Red Face Vogue magazine has stated that she is “one of indie music’s breakout stars for 2012″

She is currently recording her debut album, with producer Charlie Hugall at her parents’ home in Warwickshire.

Lucy Rose will be touring the UK, the United States and Canada with Bombay Bicycle Club and Noah & The Whale through early 2012 with her own headline tour following shortly after.

LUCY ROSE

Lucy Rose is set to play her first headline UK tour in 18 months this spring. The acclaimed singer takes her five piece band out for an intimate tour throughout March to play some new material from her second album, due later in the year.

Lucy Rose worked on the follow up to her 2012 debut ‘Like I Used To’ across 2013, stepping out of the studio for rare live shows including supporting Neil Young in Hyde Park and playing the second stage at Glastonbury Festival. The Independent review of her Glastonbury show singled her out as one of the festival’s rising stars, labelling her “the stand out female vocalist of the weekend.” Her forthcoming album is likely to confirm her upward trajectory.
