Siôn Russell Jones is a singer/songwriter from Cardiff, Wales. He has a unique and infectious vocal backed up by intricate guitar melodies and cracking choruses. In October 2010, Siôn released his debut album ‘And Suddenly’ via Still Small Voice Music, which he recorded during his final year at The Atrium School of Creative & Cultural Industries.
Since the release of ‘And Suddenly’, Siôn’s music has received airplay on regional & national radio stations and his last release ‘Indestructible’, made ‘BBC Radio Wales Single of the Week’, and was championed by Craig Charles on his BBC Radio 2 show. Siôn’s music has been used regularly on Coronation Street & Eastenders and more recently in a short bike film for WhiteNoSugar Productions.
2011 was a great year for Siôn. He signed an exclusive publishing deal with BDi Music [publishers of Jake Gosling] – sister company to Bucks Music Group. He gigged relentlessly on the singer/songwriter circuit and played many UK Festivals including, The Hay Philosophy Festival, The Acoustic Festival Of Britain, Festival Of The Celts, The Greenman Festival and Siôn opened for a sold out Newton Faulkner gig, for comedian Rich Hall and for Mara Carlyle at Crunch Festival. Siôn also showcased at Music Week’s BREAKOUT gig at Proud, Camden and consequently, was offered an endorsement deal via Stonebridge Guitars.
In March 2012, Siôn played several U.S & Canadian dates including an official showcase at Latitude 30, The British Embassy for SXSW in Austin, Texas followed by shows at The Living Room and Rockwood Music Hall in New York and a showcase set at The Central, Toronto for Canadian Music Week. Siôn will start recording his new EP which he hopes to release in the Summer 2012.
