Brad Dear is a 28 year old raw folk singer/songwriter from Nottingham. Telling stories about life’s characters, losing yourself, finding yourself and running away, Brad blends his raw and husky vocals into sing along choruses and foot stomping anthems.
After solo acoustic tours of the UK, Germany and Denmark, 26 year old Brad Dear (vocals/guitar) hooked up with Jason Hart(Jake Bugg/Kitchenware Records) to record the fan favourite single, Special Brew. Soon after, The March got together with Brad forming the accomplished band of Pete Sulk – Lead Guitar, Sam Maltby – Bass Guitar and Chris Parker – Drums and taking them on the road one journey at a time.
Hitting the garage and forging their sound, they soon took to the stage, playing over 50 festivals to thousands of people (including notable appearances at Dot to Dot, Tramlines, Splendour and YNot) and supported a diverse range of artists such as Twenty-One Pilots, New Model Army, Flogging Molly, Mark Chadwick (The Levellers) and Beans on Toast(Brad even featured prominently in Beans’ ‘Small Town Celebrations’ documentary) and Flogging molly. With songs now truly honed on the road, Brad Dear & The March entered the studio with Tristan Hill recording their second EP to be released on the 6th of october 2023 and a special release party in nottingham at home town legendary venue The Bodega.
