Earlier this week, we looked ahead to January and February which you can take a read of here. Today though, we’re looking to March – from local Notts bands along with acts making the journey from Australia to play here on Pelham Street.
Towards the middle of the month we’ve got Nottingham based indie band Celestines joining us. This isn’t their first show here with us and we’re eager to have them back. Keep the 18th March saved. Danish quartet Iceage will be making an appearance on the 26th March. With a vast discography since their formation in 2008 it’s going to be a solid, well put together rock show. The band’s debut record was featured on numerous best-of-the-year lists including BBC and Pitchfork and since then they’ve continued to develop their sound, it’s definitely not one to be missed.
Two days after that on the 28th March, Dune Rats will be paying a visit from down under. With massive success on tracks like ‘Scott Green’ and their very own ‘Dunies TV’, it’ll be a fun punk show so come and see the Ozzy boys hit the midlands.
Returning back closer to home, Nottingham’s own Alt Blk Era will be making a return to The Bodega on the 31st March. Since forming just over a year ago they’ve had an impressive journey, winning the Future Sound of Nottingham and having plenty of radio play across BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 Music. Blending genres from rap, metal and electronica, the duo are one of Nottingham’s most exciting acts and they’re on the rise quickly so don’t miss this one.
