Beat The Streets 23 Preview

Beat The Streets is coming up this Sunday and we’ve got plenty of great bands and artists playing in both our downstairs bar and the venue upstairs. All proceeds go to a great cause in Framework too, so make sure you grab a wristband and come down. Here’s a few we’re really excited about…

Upstairs we’ve got a great range of tunes to hear but one act we’re really looking forward to hosting is Arch Femmesis. Blending influences from techno to punk, the genre defying duo combine biting lyrics and huge beats to create a sound that is distinctly their own. They’ll be on at 6PM upstairs, don’t miss it!

A little later on we’ve got local psych-garage lads The Avion hitting the stage. We’ve had them here a few times playing their track Bodega Boogie so make sure you come down for 9PM to boogie in Bodega to the Bodega Boogie (very meta).

Following them, we’ve got our upstairs headliners Sleep In Motion on at 10PM. The alternative rockers are playing their own headline here in April so if you want to catch a taste of what they’re like before grabbing a ticket make sure to sink a Bodega Lager and head upstairs. Their new EP ‘Separate’ came out on Friday too!

Alongside these great acts upstairs, our bar downstairs will be jam packed with bands and punters alike. There’ll be music from as early as 1:30PM so you’ve got plenty to see. At 4:30PM we’ve got the excellent Drew Thomas, showcasing his arena-style choruses and indie-pop melodies. A definite one to watch this year, you’d be silly not to make it to this one.

Following the huge reaction to their two singles, we’re lucky enough to have GOODGOODBYE on at 6:30PM. They’ve been doing the rounds in Nottingham with their jazz-pop blend of feel good tracks. Now is a great time to see them in such a low key setting. Check them out, learn the words and make sure you’re here. (you may recognise the location of their music video too…)

Our final headliner for downstairs is Stan Buckroyd. Following his electric headline upstairs at The Bodega a couple of months ago, we’re buzzing to have him back. If you had a ticket for that show we expect to see you again… and if you didn’t, we expect you to see you here as well. 8:30PM, sharp.

Catch all these great artists and more at Beat The Streets on Sunday 29th January. Tickets available now.
