Hey there JERUB! We’re buzzing to welcome you for your first headline show, how excited are you for the night?
Thanks guys! I’m super excited also!! We’ve been getting ready and It’s not long now. I can’t wait. It’s gonna be a good night!
You’ve been no stranger to the stage this year, with slots at Dot to Dot and Trent Bridge for The Hundred. How has it been returning to perform after a year of no shows?
After the last 18 months we’ve had with not being able to play in person live shows, I’ve felt so blessed to be able to play some live shows again. It’s made me appreciate music and the connection it brings people so much more. Live music is really the most gratifying part.
Earlier in the year, you landed as runner-up in a massive BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge competition, that must feel great to get such strong recognition early into your career?
It feels like a while ago now but it’s been an eventful year. Being a runner up was really one of the greatest highlights. It was so humbling and gratifying to be one of the 5 runners up out of thousands. A real confidence booster for sure.
We hear you’ve been busy in the studio, what can you tell us about new music?
Yes!! Been working on my first ever EP project, I can’t wait for you to hear.

The great Vona Vella are supporting the show. How do you rate the Notts music scene right now?
Nottingham is full of immense talent and great artists right now like Vona Vella. There’s so much exciting music coming from Notts and I’m grateful to be a part of it.
Finally, any wild pre-show rituals we should be prepping the venue for?
I wish I could tell you that I had some crazy ritual before every show but maybe I’m a bit boring. What I love to do is find a quiet space or go for a walk and really get some calm before the storm!
