Dot To Dot Preview #2

The week you’ve been waiting for has arrived! Dot To Dot is here and we’ve got an amazing lineup for you both upstairs and downstairs at The Bodega. Grab yourself a lager and come and see what what we’ve rustled up in the downstairs bar.

First up we’ve got The Cost Of Loving kicking off the day downstairs, a trio from Nottingham that have moulded a unique synth-pop sound with their debut single ‘Strings (Attached)’. With bright melodies and a punching synth and drum combo, they’ll set the perfect tone for the day. Following up we’ve got Dublin/Glasgow based Iona Zajac bringing her poetic and mellow folk sound to the downstairs bar. Having spent the latter half of last year sharing the stage with the likes of Billy Nomates and Arab Strap you know for a fact you’re in good hands.

Tay Oskee is up next with a punchy take on folk inspired by his close relationship with nature, this is one to ease you into the day and will go very nicely with a Bodega Lager in hand. Jemima Coulter takes the stage next; the release of their stunning latest album Grace After A Party has solidified them as one of the most exciting alt-folk artists around at the moment so keep by the bar, for your own sake!

There’s a change of pace later in the day with Kay Greyson bringing a fresh take on hip-hop and a dynamic performance. Accompanied by a full band, new singles like ‘Vain’ and ‘Slow Song’ are going to sound huge. Switching things up again is Hutch with their own take on soft psych-rock. You’ll have had a few jars by this point and this is the perfect band to accompany that, it’s feel good stuff!

As we edge closer to the evening we have the incredible synth based Spielmann keeping the music alive. After several different ventures within the Leeds music scene Ben Lewis had landed on his latest project and it’s definitely something to get down here for. Our penultimate act is the brilliant indie-pop project from Mollie Coddled. Layering hazy guitars on top of tongue-in-cheek lyricism, its pure melancholic dream-pop.

Our headliners for the evening are Mississippi bedroom pop heroes Yot Club. The brainchild of Ryan Kaiser who has spent years perfecting a dreamy, indie sound will be finishing off the night. With a superb debut album under his belt this will be a memorable end to the night and we hope to see you there!

Dot To Dot Festival 2023 is this Sunday! Tickets are still available now.
