BEAR’S DEN
Bear’s Den’s Spring Tour 2014 will be their most ambitious to date. Taking place throughout May, the tour kicks off on the 1st of the month with a collection of unique performances in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Commencing in Orkney, at the very northernmost tip of the Scotland, the band will travel the entire length of the UK, weaving their way down through Britain all the way to Brighton, before heading across the channel for return visits to Germany and their debut headline performance in Paris.
Speaking of the Highlands & Islands tour dates, lead singer and songwriter Andrew Davie said “To finally be able to do this is a huge deal to us. Our previous tours have allowed us to tour more and to visit places not everybody gets to go to. To explore new parts of the world that most people don’t normally tour excites and inspires us as a band. For us its important to never take touring for granted as we are very fortunate to be able to do it.”
2013 was a big year for Bear’s Den, one of the hardest working touring bands around. Highlights include a sold out debut UK tour in February, a summer playing a whole host of festivals including Mumford & Sons’ Summer Stampede at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in front of a 60,000 strong, sold out crowd and joining the Gentlemen Of The Road Stopover Tour in the US followed by a support slot with Daughter on their US tour. They then travelled to Australia to support Matt Corby in October before returning to the UK and Europe for their own triumphant sold out headline tour.
2013 also saw the release of two EP’s on Communion Records – the “lyrically sincere and emotionally raw” (New York Times) Agape EP in March 2013 followed up by the epic Without/Within EP in October. Across both EP’s and the subsequent touring in support of each release, the band have consistently wowed audiences with their growing sound, swelling fanbase and depth of songwriting.
Tickets for the tour are officially onsale Wednesday 12th February, with presale tickets available from bearsdenmusic.co.uk from Tuesday 11th February.
